About Zhao Fang
Zhao Fang is the Head of the Shanghai office at Hui Zhong Law Firm. With 25 years of PRC law practice, she is one of Shanghai's most respected international arbitration specialists. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales and in July 2024 was appointed as a Court Member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) — the first lawyer in Shanghai and only the fourth Chinese lawyer to receive this prestigious appointment.
Zhao Fang's expertise covers international commercial arbitration, cross-border dispute resolution, and commercial dispute resolution. She represents clients before Chinese courts (including the Supreme People's Court) and before all major international arbitration institutions including the ICC, HKIAC, SIAC, CAS, and DIS. The clients she serves span industries from international trade, foreign investment, and Sino-foreign joint ventures to energy, telecommunications, construction, intellectual property, employment, sports, and entertainment.
She sits as an arbitrator on the official panels of HKIAC, SIAC, CIETAC, BAC, SHIAC, and SCIA. She is also an accredited civil-commercial mediator of ADR-ODR International in London and has served as a mediator for foreign-related cases at the Qianhai Cooperation Zone People's Court.
